How To Help

If you wish to support our efforts to keep hangar 27 available for the current wide range of community uses instead of being converted to yet another dedicated sports facility,

  • Please come the next Parks meeting:
Wed. Dec. 5th, 7-9pm at the Magnuson Park Community Center. Come and tell the Parks Department what you think.

  • Write your City Council members , the Mayor and the Parks Superintendent and the Parks Board of Commissioners. Ask to keep Hangar 27 a multi-use community gathering place as it is now instead of making it a dedicated sports facility.

  • Tell your friends about the issue. Get them to meetings and have them write letters too!

  • Donate to H27O so we can get the word out through mailing and advertising.

The Hangar 27 Organization is a qualified 501c3 non-profit. We will have on-line donations through PayPal set up shortly. Printable donation form to send by mail.

Survey takers needed:
Earn High School
Service Learning Hours

We are currently producing a Cost-Benefit Analysis of the project and need students to collect surveys. The surveys will provide valuable information to determine the social value of the hangar to local residents and will help us with our proposal to the city.

What is on the survey?

The survey is a short, 1 page questionnaire asking 3 basic questions: What area do they live in, their values for elements of the parks system, and what income bracket are they in.

What would be expected of me?

Volunteers would be expected to travel to a public gathering (park, farmers market, downtown, etc) and collect surveys from people. The survey period will be going on for approximately 2 weeks and the amount of hours you work is up to you.

*If you are not a student at Nathan Hale or Ingram high schools, you can still receive learning hours, but I will need to contact your school and okay it with them.
